Alright, so I’m like 3000 years behind on yum yum sauce. I grew up going to Japanese steakhouses (Benihana was the BEST!), but I’d never even heard of yum yum sauce until I went with some friends a few years ago.
Clearly, it was a game changer. But, let’s be honest, hibachi grills (although totally worth it) are pretty pricey. We don’t eat out there very often, so I started making my own hibachi recipes to make at home.
I have to admit- I can never get my steak or chicken to taste quite as good as they do, but this Yum Yum Sauce is 100% on point!
It’s also super easy to make. I make a batch of this and store it in these plastic sauce bottles.
I keep mine stored in the fridge.

1 tbsp Melted Butter
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Sugar
1/4 tsp Paprika

- Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
- Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated.
