I am the world’s worst at making boiled eggs that will consistently peel easily. Sometimes, I can. Sometimes, I end up getting mad and throwing them into the trash can, then fuming in my house that now smells like a fart.

I can do a lot of things- especially when it comes to baking, but this is just not for me. I’ve tried all of the different suggestions on how to prevent a boiled egg from looking like it has been slightly massacred, but none of them have worked for me consistently.

That’s one of the main reasons why I got an Instant Pot, because I had heard of how easy it was to make easy-to-peel boiled eggs and it DID NOT disappoint! We are a boiled egg-eating family, so I make boiled eggs every week! Since I follow the Keto diet, it’s one of the best snacks that I can enjoy! My husband and kiddos also love boiled eggs, so it’s a win-win and is one of my go-to’s for meal prepping on Sunday’s!

Peeling Instant Pot boiled eggs is perfect! The shell comes off super easy (with no chunks of eggs attached to it) every single time! I have found the perfect, no-fail way to boil eggs, and I just have to share it with you all!

I’ll be adding some more IP recipes to the blog, so be sure to subscribe if you want to see more!

Ingredients:

12-18 Large Eggs

1 Cup of Water

Directions:

  1. Place water in the Instant Pot along with included metal rack.
  2. Add eggs.
  3. Set to “steam” for 8 minutes with the IP set to sealed.
  4. While cooking, prepare an ice bath.
  5. Once finished, allow the pressure to naturally release for 5 minutes (so, do nothing). Then, turn the valve to release the remaining pressure.
  6. Immediately transfer to the ice bath for 5 minutes, then peel.

  1. Instant Pot should be called Amazing Pot! I love, love mine. Thoughts on less time for less eggs?

  2. Add salt a lot of salt to the water with the eggs in it . And the shells will come right off .

  3. If you are using farm fresh eggs I find if I poke a hole at the fat end and add a little baking soda it helps a ton!
