If you’ve been following me for a while, then you’ve probably heard me talk about the way of eating (“WOE”) that I follow (I don’t like the word “diet”). This WOE is currently pretty popular and trendy, which I don’t like. I don’t like that because I feel like being the trendy diet takes away from it’s legitimacy, but I’m here to tell you that it’s legit! While I’m certainly not the face of fitness, I have lost 40 pounds in 4 months by following this WOE. I still have more to lose, but I’m very happy with my results, so far!
My favorite part about the Keto WOE is that you don’t have to buy any wraps or shakes or supplements or anything! Everything that you need for Keto is at the grocery!
Can I get an Amen!?
Why is that important to me? Because, I’m interested in a lifestyle change, not a diet. Even though this is the trending “diet,” for me, it’s not a trend and in 5 years when it’s no longer trendy, I need to know that everything I need will still be available! And it will, because we will have bacon and eggs until the end of time!
Here’s a simple overview of how Keto works:
Even though none of the following items are *required*, I do find them to be super helpful for the Keto lifestyle! So, below I’ve listed my 10 favorite Keto-related products that you can find on Amazon.
Keto strips are used to test your using for Ketones, indicating if you’re in Ketosis. There are some conflicting opinions on Keto strips, but I find them to be very encouraging and motivating.
It’s important to make sure that you don’t have *too* much protein when you’re doing Keto, but my go-to protein powder is this for 2 reasons.
1) It’s very affordable compared to other protein powders.
2) It only has 8 carbs.
With protein powder, you have to be very mindful of the carb content, as a lot of them tend to be very high in carbs. This one is low carb, affordable and tastes great! I mix mine with unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
Now, I can’t explain why, but there are SO many days where I won’t lose any weight, but I will lose inches! I highly suggest getting your measurements on day 1, and checking your inches throughout the process. It’s so motivating to know how many inches that you’ve lost on your weight loss journey!
Y’all already know that I love my coffee and these Skinny Girl syrups go great in coffee! They’re sugar-free and they have a ton of different flavors (I got pumpkin spice this fall), so you can spice up your coffee and still stay on the Keto wagon. I prefer my coffee with a little bit of heavy cream and Skinny Girl syrup, and that’s it!
Now, there are 2 different types of almond flour out there, and I’m here to tell ya- there is a difference! There is this kind- super fine, and then there is “almond meal.” The super fine is what I love! The almond meal tastes too “healthy” for me, if you know what I mean. It’s chunkier and it tastes healthy. No thanks.
Note: Almond flour in general is a little pricy, however, my grocery shopping trips haven’t changed much, because I’m no longer buying frozen pizzas, and any kind of packaged meals. In fact, I mostly just shop on the perimeter of the store (veggies, meat, dairy, cheese). So, even though I’m spending more money on certain products, I’m swapping them out for the unhealthy stuff. Plus, I don’t use as much almond flour as I did regular flour.

Because, sometimes you just need a doggone cookie. These sugar-free chocolate chip cookies are amazing! They taste just like regular chocolate chips and they go great with Keto-friendly recipes!
Again, this is kind of a controversial Keto product. Some people say that, because of it’s ingredients, that it shouldn’t be used on the Keto WOE, and some people eat them all the time. So, my advice is this: eat in moderation and if you find that you’ve stalled in your weight loss, then try cutting them out. I eat them occasionally and they don’t seem to stall my weight loss.
Atkins Bars are actually pretty yummy! I don’t eat them all the time, but I keep one in my purse for emergency’s (LOL). They definitely come in handy when you’re out and about, or if you’re craving chocolate. This one in particular has only 2 net carbs!
If you want to accurately track your weight loss, then you’ll want to invest in a digital scale!
To make this lifestyle change, you’re going to need some Keto recipes! Some of my favorite recipes are the ones that involve my slow cooker. I LOVE being able to make dinner in the morning, while I still have energy, and have a yummy, keto meal ready to go at dinner time, when I’m exhausted!
